You won't believe how much has changed over the past few years. There are many new and renovated buildings, while others are still under construction. Make plans today to see how we are growing to meet the needs of future generations in their pursuit of higher education and better paying jobs and careers!!

You are invited to join COD Foundation for a fun and informative shuttle tour of College of the Desert. The 2 1/2 hour tour includes a box lunch and plenty of time for photos, memories and questions following the tour.

    Tour Stops May Include:

    • The Public Safety Academy, where our Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Technician graduates are trained.
    • The Advanced Transportation Technologies Center, one of five such centers in the nation, where automotive education, with an emphasis on Hybrid and Alternate fuel vehicles, is taught.
    • The Agriculture School, a 4 1/2 acre outdoor classroom, greenhouse and turf laboratory, where future farmers, golf course superintendents and landscape specialists learn their trade.
    • The McCarthy Family Child Development & Training Center, a National Association for Education of Young Children accredited center - a distinction held by only 8% of the child care centers in the nation - where we train future early child educators and provide vital child care services to our community.
    • Solutions Kiosk, a campus retail "lab" run by Business students gaining real life business and retail experience.
    • The Coeta and Donald Barker Nursing Complex featuring the Simulation Lab where our Nursing students train in a hospital setting on patients who are actually sophisticated computerized mannequins.
    • The Cravens Student Services Center, a "one-stop" student center featuring a host of student services and programs.
    • The BIGHORN Golf Club Charities Veterans Resource Center where our veterans receive academic and counseling support and peer-to-peer camaraderie.
    • The Manilow Music Lab designed to develop keyboard technique from introductory to advanced levels of piano and digital music.
