Let’s Play Hooky for COD Foundation” is a great way to support your favorite retailer and valuable COD student programming and resources for our local students.

As the pandemic changed the world, so many COD students suffered financially, losing their jobs, housing, and financial security. They faced the harsh reality of choosing their education or paying for utilities, rent, gas, or groceries. Now, our Valley is desperate for workers while our students are navigating multiple jobs and battling inflation as they struggle to regain years of lost revenue – all while juggling childcare and trying to complete their education. In too many cases, these students will stop following their dreams of building a career and a better life. You can help save their dreams by shopping during “Let’s Play Hooky for COD Foundation.”

During the past three years, the COD Foundation has provided more than $400,000 in assistance to five hundred students, helping them to make ends meet. The Fund for Student Success, along with the Student Emergency Fund provided critical resources to impacted students. Contributions empower the students to continue learning their trade, preparing for management-level positions, and pursuing and completing the quality education that every student deserves. The fund provides textbooks, meal cards for food-insecure students, supplies regalia for graduating students, supports childcare tuition and services for parent students, funds veteran support services, and meets the basic needs of one of our most vulnerable populations, foster youth. When we provide comprehensive access to education for students, we produce a well-educated workforce which is vital to the social and economic development of the community and to attracting new business opportunities to the area.
