Considered one of the most important philanthropic events of the year for the College of the Desert Foundation, Stepping Out for COD 2022 will raise critical donations for the Fund for Student Success.
Co-Chairs Barbara Foster Monachino and Jane Saltonstall are honored to announce the talented Anne Hampton Calloway will perform The Linda Ronstadt Songbook including the star’s beloved Broadway standards along with her legendary rock-and-roll favorites on March 31, 2022, at 7:00pm at the McCallum Theatre. Callaway has an enormous Coachella Valley fan base, which is all the more reason for her to perform at COD Foundation’s 2022 Stepping Out.
Tickets are on sale beginning November 11th. Call the McCallum Theatre at 760.340.2787 or visit www.McCallumTheatre.com. Sponsorships are available, click here to view.
Supporting the Fund for Student Success means the COD Foundation can respond quickly to meet some of the most pressing initiatives on campus and enrich academic offerings, ultimately providing our students the opportunity to achieve their educational dreams. As the pandemic changed the world, many of our COD students were strapped financially, losing their jobs and, in some cases, their homes. They were faced with the reality of continuing their education or paying their rent, keeping the lights on, paying for gas, or purchasing groceries. Since 2020, more than $400,000 has been allocated to over 400 students, helping them make ends meet during the crisis. Donations are now essential in order to replenish the Fund for Student Success and continue supporting students in need. As more students return to campus, the Foundation has seen an uptick in requests. This fund exists with or without a pandemic, and reserves are being depleted due to ongoing requests.
