#GivingTuesday

Give Students the Tools to Succeed

The global generosity movement #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season at a time when many people focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. In our effort to move past the insurmountable obstacles of the pandemic and Create Tomorrow for our College of the Desert students, we have positioned this year’s Giving Tuesday as a way to support our students’ future success by giving them the specific tools they need to excel as skilled workers, entrepreneurs, nurses, teachers, engineers, peace officers, EMTs and firefighters. You don’t have to wait until November 30th; you can give all month long!

Eighty percent of COD’s students are either the first in their family or the first generation in their family to go to college. We believe that no student should miss out on a class or find they are unable to complete an assignment due to a lack of supplies, books or equipment.

Your financial support may purchase the following tools to Fund our Student Success. Please join us so we can Create Tomorrows for COD Students together.

$35        Unisex Cook’s Jacket

$50        Engineer’s Supplies including templates and a metric tri-scale

$120     Skilled Nursing Kit

A gift of any size will make the critical difference in a student’s ability to stay in school or forge ahead in a career that they love. A gift to the Fund for Student Success may be used to purchase one or more of these items, and every gift will have a direct impact on our students’ current and future success
