About Us

About Us

Since 1983, the Foundation has been a catalyst for student success at College of the Desert. We remove barriers, open doors to opportunity and, quite literally, invest in dreams.

Since our founding, we’ve raised more than $130 million to support scholarships, innovative programs, technological upgrades, faculty positions, and essential student resources. Today, we manage more than $70 million in endowments and assets, ensuring sustained support for generations to come.

From free tuition and wraparound services through our groundbreaking plEDGE program, to emergency grants that help students stay in school when times get tough, our impact can be seen and felt in every corner of every campus.

Still, even with all we do, all we provide, thousands of students each year face unmet needs. Your generosity makes a difference. Every gift, large or small, brings us a step closer to a future where all students have the means and materials necessary for success.

“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”
                                                                   -Benjamin Franklin
