Join Our Circle
– The President’s Circle –
YOU CAN ADVANCE STUDENT SUCCESS AT COLLEGE OF THE DESERT BY JOINING THE PRESIDENT’S CIRCLE.
This esteemed alliance of business and community leaders, alumni and other friends of College of the Desert is dedicated to funding priority needs to Create a Better Tomorrow for students and residents of the Coachella Valley.
President’s circle donations support the greatest needs of our students and programs. Funding from your generous gifts allows the Foundation to accomplish its mission: this support is critical to keeping students in school, on track to graduate and provides opportunities that enrich their educational experience.
Here are some of the ways the President’s Circle members have had a profound impact on College of the Desert Student Success:
- SCHOLARSHIPS paid for from the Fund for Student Success to ensure the student has funding to continue their education.
- CHILDCARE scholarships for students who are parents.
- PROGRAM SUPPORT provides funding for opportunities that arise that can enrich the student’s educational experience such as:
- Funding for students studying Media/Broadcasting to travel to New York and participate in the Intercollegiate Broadcasting Conference.
- Funding for students studying Music to participate in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to New York City to perform at the prestigious Carnegie Hall.
- Purchase of graduation regalia
- INTERNSHIPS to provide students with the opportunity to obtain real-life work experience in the student’s field of study.
You have the power to change someone’s life.
The President’s Circle has a number of exciting ‘virtual’ events planned to accommodate social distancing requirements due to COVID-19. “Culinary Adventures” will feature alumni who learned their skills at College of the Desert and are now working in local restaurants and venues.
