President’s Circle Cocktail Reception at Desert Willow Golf Resort Photos
Following the College of the Desert Foundation’s annual board meeting on April 15, 2026, trustees, administration, staff, and COD Board members gathered for a President’s Circle cocktail reception on the beautiful Firecliff Terrace at the Desert Willow Golf Resort.
The evening was made especially meaningful by the presence of several remarkable COD students, joined by their counselor, Jose Simo. In powerful and heartfelt moments, students shared how the Student Emergency Fund supported them through times of real hardship and helped carry them to the threshold of graduation.
Moved by their stories, COD Board Chair Tom Minder invited guests to be part of that impact. By the end of the evening, $13,000 was raised in support of the Student Emergency Fund.
It was a memorable evening, filled with meaningful connections, shared purpose, and a strong belief in the promise of our students.
