The Tiny Home Naming Opportunity is COMING SOON!
The College of the Desert Foundation will soon offer a unique naming opportunity for the beloved, student-designed and built, approximately 225 sq. ft. Tiny Home.
The Tiny House on Wheels started out as a classroom competition between College of the Desert first-year Architecture design students. The winning design was chosen by a jury consisting of an architect, engineer and contractor. The project was then funded with a $125,000 Strong Workforce Grant. The grant helps career and technical education programs prepare students for the workforce. The design was refined in prep for building. College of the Desert and Desert Sands Unified School District students collaborated on the construction.
By securing a naming opportunity for the Tiny Home, supporters create a lasting legacy that celebrates innovation, workforce preparation, and student achievement. This gift directly benefits College of the Desert students and helps ensure future Tiny Home projects that continue to provide real-world learning experiences for the next generation.
